For years, I have wanted to play the piano, more. So for the 20 time project, I have decided to learn how to play the piano. I know how to a little, but I am not that good. During this time to work on my skills in this area, I have decided to research more about the piano. I will learn about how the piano makes sound, the history of the piano, learn the keys better, and read music quicker.
The art of music, I have always loved. I have always had a curiosity of how everything works so perfectly in a piano to make sound. In the past, when I have played the piano, the hardest thing for me was reading the music. I have always had to write the letter of the note down. A goal of mine for this project is to learn how to read music better. I also picked to learn about the history of the piano. So many things we do in life, we do not know the history. That is why I want to learn the history, because I wonder what was going through this person’s head when they were creating this. There is one more thing I want to do during this time I have to study the piano. I want to be able to play the piano, where I am not staring at my fingers the whole time.
Along with learning more about the piano, I have another reason why I picked the piano. There has always been something about the piano that brings relief. It makes me have a brighter day, and in that moment it seems like nothing else in life matters. I always go there if I am stressed, sad, or having a bad day. I also love the feeling, that it bring to your fingertips, as you hit key after key. It’s the best feeling, when you have played something that sounds so beautiful.
In the end, the final product will be a video of me playing one or two songs. Not only do I want to play songs at home, but I want to go to a nursing home to play there. It’s always beautiful to see their faces light up, when you play. In such a lonely place to see joy etched on their faces, is all I want to see. I would also like to play at different places to. All I want is a chance to plaster a smile on somebody's face who needs it.
This has been my goals for this upcoming project. I can’t guarantee, I will be able to do all of this, but this is a challenge I am ready for. I am ready to begin this journey of a lifetime, and ready to create something beautiful.
